Who we are

Kentik is the network intelligence platform for modern infrastructure teams. Unlike traditional monitoring and observability tools, we demystify complex network operations, enabling organizations to deliver applications and innovation at scale. Built by network experts to make critical insight accessible to every engineer, Kentik is the real-time source of truth that understands every network in context — from data center to cloud to the internet. This single platform unifies and correlates cloud, device, flow, synthetic data to turn telemetry into action. Market leaders like Akamai, Booking.com, Dropbox, and Zoom rely on Kentik to run, manage, and optimize their networks.

What we do
We’re looking for a bold, strategic, and execution-savvy Director of Field Marketing to oversee our global events and field marketing efforts. In this pivotal role, you’ll architect and execute a comprehensive field marketing and event strategy across key regions — including North America, EMEA, and APAC — to drive pipeline creation, accelerate deal velocity, and deepen customer engagement.

You will collaborate closely with sales, revenue marketing, customer success, and the channel team to build high-impact programs tailored to regional needs. From major industry events to targeted meet-ups and executive experiences, you’ll be at the center of how we take our story to the field and convert global strategy into regional results.

If you’re a data-driven field marketing and event leader with a global mindset, regional empathy, and a passion for building programs that align tightly with revenue goals, let’s talk!
What you'll do
  • Develop and manage a global field marketing strategy aligned to business priorities, sales targets, and regional market dynamics
  • Own the planning and execution of a global portfolio of field programs, including trade shows, roadshows, partner events, customer forums, and executive briefings
  • Serve as a key marketing partner to global sales leadership, aligning closely with regional VPs and sales teams to understand goals, coverage models, and regional nuances
  • Partner with product marketing, revenue marketing, and regional sales to create localized assets, messaging, experiences, and offers that resonate with target accounts and buyer personas across regions
  • Lead the strategy and execution for global industry events, ensuring cohesive brand presence, regional relevance, and strong ROI
  • Oversee field marketing budget globally, including planning, forecasting, regional allocations, ROI analysis, and optimization of program mix
  • Measure and report on the impact of field marketing programs, providing visibility into performance across pipeline, revenue, and customer engagement
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with the channel team to drive joint field programs with key channel and technology partners globally
  • Optimize field marketing operations and processes: standardizing tools, templates, and workflows where possible, while allowing for regional flexibility
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and field marketing innovations; test new engagement strategies to scale global impact while deepening regional authenticity
What you'll bring
Studies have shown that some candidates tend to apply to jobs only if they meet 100% of the qualifications. We encourage you to apply if you meet most of the criteria - even if you don’t match all of the qualifications, your skills and experience could be valuable in this role!

The role is remote within the U.S., with a preference for candidates based on the East Coast
  • 8+ years of experience in B2B field marketing, with at least 3 years in a global or multi-region leadership role
  • Proven track record of building and scaling global field marketing programs that deliver measurable pipeline and revenue impact
  • Experience leading distributed teams and collaborating with sales and marketing stakeholders across time zones and cultures
  • Strong understanding of global and regional marketing dynamics, including localization, cultural considerations, and go-to-market variations
  • Demonstrated success with integrated campaign development, ABM, event strategy, and partner marketing in a SaaS or high-growth tech environment
  • Highly analytical with strong budget management and ROI reporting experience
  • Exceptional cross-functional collaboration, communication, and project management skills
  • Expertise with Salesforce, Marketo (or equivalent MAP), project management tools (e.g., Asana), and field engagement platforms
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment where agility, innovation, and execution are equally valued
